Montblanc - Meisterstück 116 Solitaire Special Edition "Coral" - Pen

We present at auction a genuine jewel of writing and design signed Montblanc: the exclusive and sought-after Meisterstück 116 ballpoint pen (the famous “Mozart” format) in its splendid Solitaire Special Edition "Coral" finish. This model stands out for its compact, exquisitely refined dimensions, designed to gracefully find a place in a diary or a jacket pocket, combining everyday practicality with an aesthetics of undeniable charm. The design of this special edition plays on a magnificent and luxurious color and material contrast. The body of the instrument is made in precious coral-colored resin, a warm, rare, and vibrant shade that immediately draws the eye. Providing a noble counterpoint are the cap and tip plated in gold; the cap in particular is finely worked with a classic and elegant guilloché pattern of vertical lines (godronatura), which lends brightness and three-dimensionality to the whole piece. Completing the aesthetic are the maison’s iconic elements, such as the three central engraved rings and the pristine white star dominating the top. Technically, the instrument is configured as a mini ballpoint pen, equipped with a practical and smooth twist mechanism for advancing the tip. The photographs showing the pen disassembled confirm the total integrity of the internal components and metal threads, ensuring perfect and durable operation. The conservation status of this fascinating specimen is to be considered in excellent general condition. The coral-colored resin appears solid, glossy, and free of structural imperfections, while the gold-plated parts retain a splendid brilliance. In line with our usual and rigorous policy of total transparency, only microscopic and entirely physiological surface signs (imperceptible micro-scratches) typical of mirrored metallic surfaces are noted, resulting from normal, albeit careful, handling over time. These details attest to the object's life without affecting in any way its extraordinary aesthetic performance. It is also confirmed that there are no personalized engravings.
