We present at auction an authentic concentrate of contemporary design and mysterious allure: the Montblanc StarWalker Midnight Black Fountain Pen. This line represents the modern, bold evolution of the renowned German maison, designed for those seeking a luxury accessory with a dynamic, edgy, and absolutely non-conventional character. The body and cap of the pen are masterfully crafted in Montblanc's famous black precious resin, whose smooth, deep surface offers an extremely pleasant tactile sensation. The true distinguishing feature of the "Midnight Black" edition, however, are the superb finishes in solid metal plated with ruthenium: this rare metal gives the clip, the bands, and the structural details a sophisticated dark gray/gunmetal hue, creating a magnificent and elegant contrast with the black barrel. A special mention goes to the grip section, characterized by refined micro-embossed ribbing that, in addition to enhancing the pen's industrial aesthetics, ensures a firm, ergonomic, and comfortable grip during writing. As tradition for this iconic collection, atop the cap sits the unmistakable transparent resin dome within which the Montblanc star emblem floats magically. Technically speaking, this specimen is configured as a Fountain Pen. The heartbeat of the instrument is its precious solid 14K gold nib (585). As clearly evidenced by the close-up photographs, the nib shows the warm, natural gold tone: a fascinating detail (due to the physiological and partial loss of the original ruthenium plating on the tip, typical of tools used regularly) that testifies to its authentic writing history without compromising its extraordinary fluency and precision in any way. The focusing shots confirm the cleanliness and integrity of the writing unit. The overall condition of this instrument is to be considered excellent. The precious resin and ruthenium finishes are presented in beautifully preserved condition, showing only microscopic and physiological surface signs (hairlines) due to normal resting and natural material wear, details almost invisible at a quick first glance. #mostwantedlux26
