All auctions / Lighting / Montblanc - Writers Edition Ernest Hemingway - Fountain pen
A0000003167 The fountain pen is presented in very good overall condition, fully preserving its original aesthetics, materials and functioning. The black resin of the cap and the section shows a deep and uniform shine, while the body in coral resin, characteristic of this edition, maintains a vivid and uniform color, with no appreciable discolorations. Micro surface marks are very light, visible only under close inspection and direct light, typical of careful use or handling over time. No cracks, dents or restorations are observed. The rings and the gold-plated clip retain a clean, well-defined finish, with minimal wear consistent with the piece's age. The solid 18-karat gold nib is in excellent visual condition, with sharp engravings and no deformations. The piston-filling system works correctly, offering smooth and precise operation. Overall, this is an original, well-preserved and fully functional specimen, especially attractive to collectors due to its honest and careful condition, maintaining the iconic character of the first Montblanc Writers Edition dedicated to Ernest Hemingway. It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper conservation. Best of luck with the bidding!
