A0000004793 The Montblanc Writers Edition F. Scott Fitzgerald Limited Edition fountain pen is presented in very good overall condition, maintaining all the elegance and presence characteristic of one of the most appreciated literary editions from the German brand. The barrel, made of marbled ivory/cream resin, maintains a uniform and attractive appearance, with a soft, refined shine. It shows ultra-light superficial signs resulting from occasional use and the passage of time, only appreciable under close inspection. No cracks, fissures, or impacts are observed, preserving excellent structural and aesthetic integrity. The cap in glossy black resin keeps a deep, uniform finish. The engraving of “F. Scott Fitzgerald” along the side is perfectly visible and defined, reinforcing the collectible appeal of this Writers Edition. The rings and clip with a platinum finish show a good overall condition, retaining their original shape and shine, with very slight cosmetic wear consistent with careful conservation. The pen also retains its individual serial number engraved on the cap, corresponding to the limited edition, a feature especially valued by collectors of the Montblanc Writers Edition series. The original Montblanc 18K two-tone gold nib is in excellent structural condition, correctly aligned and without visible deformations. The engravings “4810”, “18K / 750”, the Montblanc emblem, and the characteristic Art Déco decoration of this edition inspired by the aesthetics of the twenties remain crisp. The feed is clean and properly adjusted, ensuring optimal operation. The piston-filling system functions smoothly and reliably, having been checked to ensure a fully functional writing experience. The cap closure fits precisely and securely. The piece also includes its original Montblanc box and service/international documentation, items that significantly increase its commercial and collectible value. Conclusion Overall, this is an original, authentic piece in very good condition, ideal for both collectors of the Writers Edition series and lovers of high-end writing who seek an iconic fountain pen inspired by the literary and aesthetic universe of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Maintenance recommendations It is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically designed for fountain pens, avoiding pigmented or aggressively drying inks. If you do not use the pen for an extended period, it is advisable to clean the system with lukewarm water and dry it completely before storing. Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always operate the filling system slowly to preserve the internal mechanism. Includes original Montblanc box and documentation. Happy bidding!
