Monumentaler Einband - Imperialfolio - 73 x 48 cm - 1650

Very large cover binding in the Imperial portfolio from around 1650. All 10 of 10 metal bosses are present. Both cover boards have an inner parchment flyleaf on the inside, each uninscribed. Presumably this is the former binding of an antiphonary. The front and back show some restorations and additions along the edge. The spine has partly been renewed, is brittle and has a few losses at the top and bottom. Overall, somewhat more worn and in used condition. The rest of the clasp is still present. Dimensions: 73 x 48 cm (Open: 106 x 48 cm) Weight: 7.3 kg

Estimate:£184.15
