This is a later edition by Unsodo. The moon shining in the night sky, Mount Fuji bathed in the moonlight, the moonlight reflected on the water, people rowing a boat in the moonlight, and the swaying of reeds... This is a masterpiece of shin-hanga prints, expressed with exquisite colors and delicate printing. The rich colors by 15 woodblocks and the warmth of artisanal handiwork are vividly expressed in this piece. Excellent condition and Vibrant colours! Dimensions: Paper size 415 x 278 mm Image size 360 x 240 mm Koichi Okada was a master artist who, alongside Hasui Kawase and Shiro Kasamatsu, made significant contributions to the development of the Shin-hanga (New Print) movement. Born in Tokyo, studied with Ishii Hakutei and Arishima Ikuma and was a member of the art group Issuikai. He focused primarily on landscape prints, characterized by lyrical depictions of scenery created using traditional techniques.
