The ceramic case is designed in a lancet arch form featuring tube-lined geometric decoration in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh (Scottish, 1868-1928) with panels of translucent deep blue and stepped black glazes on a cream ground. The removable metal-rimmed clock insert features a white circular dial with black Arabic numerals and the Moorcroft name. The base is marked with impressed Moorcroft stamp.
