Museum-quality mortality plate from Asia. All of these specimens show fine detail—the heads, fins, and bones. As with many specimens from this locality, the collectors usually apply a coat of brightening paint to outline the shape of the fish. Many specimens are also shown on the back of the plate, giving an idea of the heavy mortality index. Lycoptera davidi Actinopterygii, Osteoglossomorpha Lower Jurassic, Jehol Biota, Liaoning, China Size: 15–17 cm. Plate is glued on one edge. Metal display included.
