MUGHAL COPPER-ALLOY BOTTLE WITH LID
Ca. AD 1500 - 1800 A copper-alloy bottle with a squat globular body resting on a spreading circular foot. A pair of raised bands encircles the middle of the body, with further concentric mouldings around the sloping shoulder. The tall, flaring neck is ornamented with turned collars at its base and beneath the rounded upper section, surmounted by a domed cover with a pointed knop finial. Size: 290mm x 145mm; Weight: 1.74kg Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1990s.
