Murano.com - Carlo Nason - Vase - Chinese people - Glass

This Murano glass vase is a work of art that unites Venetian artisanal tradition with the aesthetics of Eastern forms. With a height of 37 cm, the vase is inspired by the classic Chinese amphora, reinterpreted in a modern key. The exterior of the vase is made of black crystal, a choice that gives it an elegant and sophisticated look, while the interior is lined with white, creating a stark and refined contrast. The lines of the vase are sinuous and harmonious, recalling the soft curves of traditional amphorae, but with a contemporary sensibility that enhances the purity and luster of the glass. The combination of black crystal with the white interior not only accentuates the depth of the design, but also reflects light in a unique way, creating chiaroscuro effects that vary depending on the angle of the light. This vase is much more than a simple container; it is a celebration of Murano’s glassmaking craftsmanship, which masterfully fuses the rich Eastern cultural heritage with the art of glass. Perfect as a decorative piece in a modern setting, this vase represents a meeting between tradition and innovation, between East and West.
