Murano - Sculpture

This decorative butterfly-shaped sculpture in Murano glass is a delicate and refined artisanal work, featuring a composition of millefiori in pastel tones and precious inclusions of gold leaf and aventurine. The piece is handmade in authentic Murano glass. The wings, molded with broad, dynamic shapes, have a white lattimo glass background with delicate pink-cream and lilac veils, traversed by aqua green and turquoise filaments with a marbled effect. Across the entire surface are embedded millefiori in orange and amber tones, resembling tiny flowers, embellished by a dense sprinkling of aventurine with warm coppery reflections. The relief veins, radiating from the body toward the edges, recall the venation of a real wing and capture light, creating depth, movement, and striking color effects. The central body of the butterfly, separately shaped in transparent crystal, is enriched with gold leaf inclusions, which give the composition luminous golden reflections. The antennae, also handmade and finished with rounded tips, complete the figure and emphasize its artisanal character. The distinctive asymmetric opening of the wings, one raised higher than the other, gives the sculpture a sense of lightness and movement, as if the butterfly had just alighted. The combination of the delicate polychromy of the millefiori and the brilliance of gold and aventurine makes each piece unique and original. This butterfly is ideal as a decorative element, a collection piece, or a refined gift idea. It is a piece handcrafted by a master glassmaker on the island of Murano. Like every piece signed Bottega Isola, it was chosen among the island’s best creations to offer only authentic high-quality Murano glass. The work is accompanied by an authenticity certificate, attesting to its origin and originality.
