A silver vessel in the style of an antique vase, accented with friezes of fluted bands. The body, resting on an oval pedestal, is engraved with the initials: AL. The neck is adorned with palmette motifs and the crook-shaped handles are decorated with clasps. The hinged lid is topped with a rocaille-style ring. Hallmarks: Vieillard 1st grade, Paris 1819–1838, and silversmith’s mark: DL and a star. Height: 12 cm. Weight: 221 g. (Normal wear and scratches; sold as is).
