Hardly any stone in spherical form is as mysterious as Merlinit. This impressive 4-piece set of polished Merlinit spheres shows an extraordinarily high-contrast mineral pattern, where dark areas meet lighter gray, silver, and delicate violet tones. Each of the four spheres has its own unique pattern. At times the dark inclusions appear as branching veins, abstract landscapes, or small islands winding irregularly through the lighter stone. Other areas reveal finer, almost mosaic-like structures. As a result, even with close inspection there are always new details to discover. The drawing is especially beautiful on account of the round shape and the glossy polish. As the spheres rotate or the viewing angle changes, light reflections move across the surface, bringing out different structures. The color palette ranges from light gray and cool silver to smoky violet, graphite, and deep black. As a set, the four spheres look particularly harmonious, sharing the same characteristic color palette while differing clearly in their individual drawing. Whether presented together or displayed individually, each sphere is a distinctive natural stone one-off. Natural inclusions, fine lines, small depressions, and differences in color and texture are typical features of the mineral and belong to the authentic character of each piece. An extraordinary Merlinit sphere set for mineral collectors and lovers of high-contrast natural stones—four unique spheres with mysterious drawings and impressive depth.
