Nancy Friday en Rita Mae Brown - Erotische fantasieën - 1973-1996

Was female sexuality still surrounded by taboos at the end of the last century; in 1993 two American women writers brought an abrupt end to that. Nancy Friday published 'My Secret Garden,' a collection of women's sexual fantasies, while Rita Mae Brown published the lesbian bildungsroman 'Rubyfruit Jungle.' Where Friday in her book tries to make female desire visible, Rita Mae Brown in hers gives that desire a life. In other words: where Friday philosophizes, Brown tackles it head-on.
