Napoleon IV & King George I Cut Signatures

ineteenth-century scrapbook page featuring cut signatures of Napoleon IV, Prince Imperial of France (1856-1879), and King George I of Greece (1845-1913), each mounted with a youthful portrait photograph. Napoleon IV, the son of Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie, was the Bonapartist claimant to the French throne following his father's death in 1873. George I became King of Greece in 1863 and reigned for nearly 50 years. The page is decorated with printed Napoleonic and Greek royal emblems, with the photographs and autographs arranged within hand-drawn borders. Exhibits toning, scattered foxing and mounting wear.
