Natalia Mc Donald - Human Anatomy

Natalia Mc Donald - Human Anatomy

Human Anatomy, is a sculptureally character work of Natalia McDonald, a Spanish artist born in 1987. The piece represents an anatomical human torso, showing in relief various internal organs. The work combines figurative representation of anatomy with an artistic treatment based on volume, texture, and color. The anatomical body is made in majolica ceramic and subsequently worked with acrylic paint and resin, creating different levels of volume and texture and adding depth and realism to the representation. The sculpture is presented on a circular base of acacia wood, whose brown tone and natural grain contrast with the colors of the anatomical body. The wood surface has been treated with oil to provide greater protection and improve its aesthetic finish. The combination of ceramic, paint, resin, and natural wood generates a singular piece that unites sculptural and pictorial elements within the language of contemporary art. About the Artist: Natalia McDonald (Spain, born in 1987) develops a contemporary artistic practice that integrates figurative and abstract elements in ceramic, creating a language of its own based on the exploration of form, texture, and volume. Her work combines different techniques and materials and explores the relationship between sculpture and painting, giving rise to unique pieces conceived as both collectible objects and artistic expressions. She has participated in various exhibitions in Málaga, where she has shown her approach to the fusion between sculpture and painting and has developed her identity within the realm of contemporary art. Authenticity: The work is delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed and stamped. In addition, the piece incorporates a brand seal on the back of the wooden base, which serves as an additional element of identification of the work. As it is a handmade piece, there may be small variations in texture, color, and finish inherent to the manual crafting process and the materials used.
