Native American Beaded Moccasins with Floral Beadwork and Ankle Cuffs

Native American, Western United States, likely Northern Plains / Great Basin region. A pair of beaded moccasins of soft, supple suede leather, cut with broad ankle cuff flaps that fold down over the instep and close with hide ties. Each vamp blooms with a full-blown rose in red and pink beads, its yellow-stamened heart flanked by buds and two smaller blossoms, all set among green leaves outlined in contour rows.
