This exceptional natural Crystal Opal from Ethiopia displays an intense, almost liquid-looking play of colors of rare brilliance. Luminous greens, fire red, orange, and yellows sweep through the translucent opal body and unfold in spectacular depth depending on the angle of light. The color play appears dynamic, lively and powerful – a clear hallmark of opals of the highest quality. The opal is in natural uncut form, emphasizing its primality and uniqueness. The partially preserved matrix naturally frames the crystalline opal and enhances the contrast between the rough earth texture and the glassy opal transparency. Every viewing angle reveals new color planes and light reflections – no two areas are alike. Such Crystal Opals are among the most sought-after pieces from Ethiopian deposits and are highly regarded by demanding collectors as well as lovers of extraordinary natural art. A true one-of-a-kind that unites the raw power of the earth with fascinating elegance. Weight: 232,30 ct Size: 47.3 x 43.5 x 30.7 mm Treatment: Untreated Origin: Ethiopia Color: Play Of Color Gem Type: Natural Opal Shape: Irregular The pictures were taken with strong light and table lamps.
