This extraordinary natural crystal opal from Ethiopia shows an intense, almost liquid-looking play of color of rare brilliance. Luminous greens, fire red, orange and yellow hues weave through the translucent opal body and unfold in spectacular depth depending on the light. The play of color appears dynamic, lively and powerful – a clear hallmark of opals of the highest quality. The opal is in natural rough form, which emphasizes its originality and uniqueness. The partially preserved matrix frames the crystalline opal in a natural way and enhances the contrast between rough earthly texture and glassy opal transparency. Every viewing angle reveals new color surfaces and light reflections – no area is like the other. Such crystal opals are among the most sought-after pieces from Ethiopian deposits and are highly valued by discerning collectors as well as lovers of extraordinary natural art. A true unique piece that unites the raw power of the earth with fascinating elegance. Weight:59,35ct Size:29,8x18,7x23,8mm Treatment: Untreated Origin: Ethiopia Color: Play Of Color Gem Type: Natural Opal Shape: Irregular The pictures were taken with strong light and table lamps. It is a fantastic piece of opal. Our shipping costs are checked and acknowledged by Catawiki. In some of the pictures the stone was backlit to show you the color of the stone. For some stones we have held a light under the stone to show the color of the pieces better. And there may be deviations in colors etc., as every computer, monitor and phone may display color qualities differently.
