Natural Moldavite - Exceptional rough piece with intense...

This impressive Moldavite shows an unusually vibrant green coloration, ranging from deep forest and olive green to bright emerald green hues depending on the light. Especially under stronger illumination, the piece reveals its pronounced translucency and develops a fascinating inner depth. A notable feature is the highly textured surface. Numerous rounded, interconnecting depressions and elevations give the Moldavite a distinctly plastically textured feel. Alongside there are glassy-looking areas with typical flow and fracture structures. In backlighting, these different structures become particularly evident and create a lively interplay of light, almost transparent portions and intensely saturated green zones. Moldavite belongs to the tektite group and formed about 15 million years ago as a result of the enormous meteorite impact that created the Ries crater in southern Germany. The immense energy released at impact melted earthly rock material and flung it over great distances. During its flight through the atmosphere the melt cooled and solidified into the characteristic green natural glass known today as Moldavite. This piece comes from the Czech Republic, the classic source region for Moldavite. Especially specimens with strong green color, good translucency, and clearly pronounced surface structure are particularly sought after by collectors. Because of the limited source locations and finite natural occurrences, high-quality Moldavite also holds a special status among tektites and collectible minerals. Metaphysically, Moldavite enjoys an exceptional reputation as well. It is traditionally regarded as a stone of profound change, expanded consciousness, and personal development. It is attributed with especially intense energy that is said to help dissolve entrenched patterns and open up new perspectives. A characterful natural Moldavite rough stone, especially notable for its unusually plastic surface structure, its intense green coloration, and its impressive effect in backlight. Our shipping costs have been checked and approved by Catawiki. We use an external shipping company that handles final inspection, pickup, packing, and shipping; thus these shipping costs accrue. The purchaser bears all possible import and export costs, duties, shipping costs, etc.. Also see our other items and shipping costs, pickup costs save.. In some of the pictures the stone has been lit from behind to show you the color of the stone. In some stones we have held lighting under the stone to better show the color of the pieces. And there may be color deviations, etc., since every computer, monitor, and phone can display colors with different qualities!
