ortheast Africa 104 (NEA 104): History and Origin Discovery: Bought in 2025 from a dealer in Libya. Total mass: About 20 kg distributed across several fragments showing remnants of fusion crust. Official classification: Approved on September 6, 2025 (Meteoritical Bulletin 114) under the classification of lunar troctolitic melt breccia. Geological origin: Ejected from the Moon following a major asteroid impact; this rock comes from the Moon's crust rich in plagioclase and olivine. Petrographic Characteristics Composition: A mix of anorthosite clasts (up to 4 mm) and olivine-rich aggregates encased in a plagioclase-rich melt matrix.
