Type of jewel: Vintage double-strand pearl necklace with diamond clasp in the Art Deco style Condition: very good Country of origin: Italy Style: Vintage Era: ca. 1980 Inspired by: Although made several decades after the Art Deco period, its maker was clearly inspired by the Art Deco style Extra information: Presented in its original box, bearing the name “Heeren van Bronckhorst, Juweliers-Antiquairs”, Onderstraat 1, Bronkhorst, Gelderland, the Netherlands. Material: 18K white gold (touchstone tested) Diamonds: 65 brilliant-cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approximately 1.27 ct (colour and clarity: G–I, VVS–VS). - When we provide weights, colour grades, and clarity of diamonds, these are approximate unless otherwise stated, as we do not remove diamonds from their settings to preserve the integrity of the piece. - All diamonds, regardless of their size or shape, in our vintage and antique jewellery are verified as 100% natural by the IJGC laboratory. Precious stones: 114 most probably cultured freshwater pearls, 57 on each strand, ranging in diameter from 7.4 mm to 8.65 mm. Birth and month stones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April and Pearl is the birthstone (or month stone) for June. Hallmarks: “750”, indicating 18-carat gold, and a maker’s mark whose outline is characteristic of Italian maker’s marks. Also bearing the Dutch control mark depicting a tulip with the number 750, denoting 18-carat gold, in use since 1953.
