Kingdom of William I, Silver Ducat 1816 almost PR Edition of only 174,092 pieces. Medal strike The gold and silver ducats were minted for trade. Specifically: the Baltic trade. The value of these coins fluctuated with the price of gold and silver. This, in contrast to the nominal coins, which were issued at a fixed value (e.g., 1 gulden). The minting of silver ducats with the year 1816 took place in 1817. The coin was minted for only one year and is therefore very rare.
