New Hall porcelain water jug monogrammed ‘J.H.’, c. 1815.

A New Hall bone china ‘Water jug’, c. 1815. The bulbous jug, well painted to one side, with a man riding a horse along a country track, beneath trees. The reverse with a ruined castle in a Lakeland setting. Having a gilt monogram ‘JH’, within a laurel wreath, beneath the leaf moulded spout. The jug applied with an acanthus leaf moulded handle, heightened in gilt.
