Nguyen Robert - James Dean : L'Éternel Rebelle ↑80 →60 cm - No Reserve

Title of the work: James Dean: The Eternal Rebel (2026) Tribute to James Dean, born February 8, 1931, died September 30, 1955. A single glance toward the horizon is enough to span decades without a wrinkle. James Dean embodies that incandescent youth, a flash captured between shadow and light that refuses oblivion. In this sepia-toned canvas, every brushstroke beats like a suspended heart: the rough texture of the material sculpts the myth as much as it reveals it. More than a face, it is the very essence of freedom, fragility, and timeless rebellion that continues to burn, tirelessly, beyond time. Material: oil painting on handmade canvas. Dimensions: 80 cm × 60 cm Artist: Nguyen Robert Origin: Ben Tre Reference: 10-L30-0926-10 A magnificent contemporary original canvas created in the artist Nguyen Robert’s workshop. Delivered with a gallery certificate. Sold unframed and without a stretcher. Colors may vary slightly due to the capture by each camera during shooting. ARTIS Art Gallery: The renewal of artistic authenticity In a world where art has too often become a mass-market product, where name supersedes talent and where industrial production replaces human hand, ARTIS Art Gallery is committed to selling only works that meet stringent criteria of absolute excellence. Our mission is simple yet radical: restore nobility to the act of authentic creation. Our commitment: true art, with brave and, above all, hardworking artists. We travel across Asia in search of real talents, artists whose work cannot be reduced to a commercial strategy. For us, a work of art is not a standardized commodity. At ARTIS Art Gallery, every piece we offer meets strict criteria: 100% Hand Made: Each work is the fruit of meticulous artisanal work, where the artist’s hand is the sole engine of creation. Guaranteed uniqueness: We refuse industrial reproduction, outsourcing, and factory production systems. What you acquire is a one-of-a-kind piece, designed and created by the artist themselves. The signature as a commitment: each work is personally signed by its creator. This signature is not merely a formality; it is the seal of authenticity and proof that the artist fully owns their work from the first sketch to the finish. We refuse signatures on the board (printed signature); only hand-signed works are accepted, otherwise we refuse the works. Against “Art Marketing” We firmly oppose this current trend of selling “names” rather than works. Buying a decorative piece produced in series, with no real intervention by the artist, is like buying a fashion accessory: its value fades as soon as marketing loses momentum. We prefer to bet on the intrinsic quality of the craft. An artist who takes time to create, who shapes every detail and invests their soul in their work is the one who leaves a lasting imprint. If we cannot predict the future, we deeply believe that authentic works are the only investments that, over time, gain depth, emotion, and value, where purely promotional products fade. Why choose a work from ARTIS Art Gallery? By choosing a work with us, you do not simply acquire an object of Art. You support: 1. Emerging talent: You enable talented artists to earn a living from their art without compromising their integrity. 2. Ethics and transparency: you know exactly who made your work and how it was made. A genuine guarantee of acquiring a piece created by the artist themselves, not a vulgar subcontracting exercise, on the pretext that the artist is already known in the art world. 3. Enduring investment: You invest in artistic reality rather than marketing illusion. 4. Ethics and transparency: you know exactly who made your work and how it was made. A true guarantee of acquiring a work created by the artist themselves, not vulgar subcontracting, is the bond between those who seek truth in art and those who create it with passion, patience, and talent. Enter a collection where every work tells a true story. Yours begins here with the acquisition, today, of this work selected by ARTIS Art Gallery. Biography of the painter Nguyen Robert, born 1958. Born in 1958 in Ben Tre, an authentic village nestled in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Nguyen Robert is a Franco-Vietnamese artist whose work stands out for a unique fusion of Asian traditions and Western artistic influences. From a young age, he was fascinated by the rural architecture of his environment, the lines of traditional houses, the forms of the floating markets, the shadows cast by water palms — all elements that would become the basis of his visual language. Having always lived in his native region, Nguyen Robert over the decades developed a deeply contemporary, modern, and decidedly architectural style. His paintings explore structures, lines, urban rhythms, and geometric abstraction, while preserving a poetic sensitivity rooted in Vietnamese culture. His dual Franco-Vietnamese heritage enriches his approach: he borrows from the West the rigor of modern compositions and the boldness of contrasts, while his Vietnamese soul infuses softness, spirituality, and fluidity into his works. The result is a pictorial universe where modernity meets timelessness, where geometry dialogues with light, creating paintings of great visual power. Known for his ability to transform everyday life into abstract landscapes, Nguyen Robert is today regarded as one of the singular voices of contemporary Mekong Delta painting. He continues his work in his studio in Ben Tre, surrounded by the landscapes that shaped his identity, and continues to exhibit in several galleries in Asia and Europe, captivating collectors and art lovers seeking deeply modern, structured, and vibrant works.
