Classic Nikon Super Zoom-8 Super 8 film camera, produced by Nippon Kogaku K.K. in Japan and introduced in 1966. This was Nikon's first camera for the Super 8 format. The camera features the original bright Cine-Nikkor Zoom 1:1.8 / 8.8–45 mm, a high-quality 5× zoom lens. Nikon documents for this model among other things TTL metering and motorized zoom. The camera offers 12, 18 and 24 frames per second, automatic and manual exposure control, automatic/electric and manual zoom, and a reflex viewfinder. Single-frame recording is also possible. The camera has been tested with batteries and is in working order. The motor/drive and available electrical functions respond during the test. No Super 8 film has been shot with this camera; the final recording and exposure quality has therefore not been verified on film. Cosmetically the camera is in good used vintage condition, with normal signs of use and aging. On the silver-colored front there are some small discolorations and signs of wear visible. The condition is clearly shown in the photos. Included are the original Cine-Nikkor 8.8–45 mm f/1.8 zoom lens, hand grip/battery holder and wrist strap, as shown. Batteries are not included. For shipping the camera will be carefully cleaned again, including the reachable glass and lens elements. A beautiful early Nikon Super 8 camera that is of interest both to Nikon collectors and to lovers of classic analog film cameras.
