Nino Nino – “Pescatore” tradizionale italiano in corno...

ino – “Pescatore” traditional Italian knife in polished horn – 20 cm – artisan pocket knife Category Catawiki Traditional folding knives / Italian artisanal cutlery Description Auctioning this elegant and sought-after model "Pescatore" Nino, one of the most fascinating interpretations of the maritime tradition of central Italy, is proposed. With a total length of 19 cm and a blade of 8 cm, this knife stands out for its perfect balance between compactness, practicality, and elegance. The handle is made of natural polished bovine horn, carefully selected and worked to enhance its veins and natural shades, making each piece unique. For those who live and work in close contact with nature, the knife has always been an indispensable tool. At sea, it often represented much more than a simple utensil: it was the daily companion of the fisherman, used for the most varied needs during long days of work. The "Pescatore" model roots itself in the tradition of the coasts between Marche and Abruzzo, where the historic Lucantoni family made these knives destined for Adriatic sailors. Lightweight, reliable, and easy to handle, it was designed to be carried in the pocket and used every day. A knife that encapsulates history, tradition, and Italian marine culture, particularly appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts of regional cutlery.
