A 100% handmade unique piece. This is not an print. "Winged Thought" This work explores nocturnal mystery and animal symbolism through a graphic language with a contemplative character. The composition is built from a contrast between dark tones and flashes of earthy pink and salmon. This chromatic sobriety creates an timeless, enveloping nocturnal lighting. The piece is constructed through glazes and atmospheric stains that simulate a cloudy night, studded with tiny stars and a crescent moon. The wheat stalks framing the scene are rendered with delicate yet defined strokes, imparting an organic, vertical rhythm to the sides of the image. The tabby cat is defined by a firm outline that isolates it and makes it stand out from the background, while its expressive stripes dialogue with the texture of the bird perched on its head. The whole draws on comic graphic art and mystic visual folklore. The work subverts the traditional predator-prey narrative. The cat and the bird do not interact through conflict, but through complicity and balance. The bird, serenely perched between the feline’s ears as if it were a crown or an incarnate thought, suggests a magical alliance or a truce in the middle of the night. The crescent moon, the starry sky, and the wheat stalks integrate elements of fertility, natural cycle, and mysticism. The stalks act as a threshold or refuge, while the cat’s magnetic eyes capture the moonlight, functioning as a channel between the earthly world and the spiritual. The monumental figure of the cat rises as a protective totem, a being that guards the secrets of the gloom and shelters the small winged messenger.
