NJ-177. New Jersey. March 25, 1776. 3 Shillings. PMG Choice Very Fine

J-177. New Jersey. March 25, 1776. 3 Shillings. PMG Choice Very Fine 35. John Hart Signature. No. 18095. Plate B. Signed by Jonathan Deare, John Hart, and John Stevens (Jr.) at right. Wide margins seen at both right and bottom borders. This crisp 1776 3 Shillings note is darkly printed and bears the bold penned signature of John Hart who signed the Declaration of Independence as a delegate from New Jersey in the Second Continental Congress. Due to the rising historical interest of famous signers in recent years, it takes little to figure that notes signed by John Hart and other signers such as Francis Hopkinson and John Morton have dramatically increased in value for even circulated examples. PMG comments "Previously Mounted." Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
