No reserve-Grote en zware handgemaakte zilveren miniatuur...

Rare large and heavy handmade Dutch silver miniature in the shape of a girl (Amazon) on a horse. The piece is exceptionally beautiful in form and very detailed, handmade. It is manually finished with many nice details such as: rider in riding clothes, cap on the head, feet serving as the stirrups, reins made of silver wire, whip in hand, etc., etc. The miniature is inspected and among other things marked with Dutch silver hallmarks: The content mark shows 835, which stands for silver content 835/1000 (2nd silver standard) Also bearing the master mark CB of the silversmith who made the horse = C. Bos. He worked as a silversmith in Amsterdam from 1929 to 1947 It is a large robust miniature; dimensions are 6.00 by 2.1 cm and the height is 5.6 cm. All told, with a weight of 46.6 grams for a miniature, it is also quite heavy (not hollowed or weighed down, so this is the net silver weight). The miniature, given its age of at least 75 years, is in particularly beautiful, pristine and complete condition with no dents or scratches.
