This is the steel version, with the case left in its natural color and a finish that alternates polished and brushed surfaces, for a clearer and more classic look compared to the plated versions. The dial is black with a glossy finish: light passes through it and changes its depth with every movement of the wrist. The applied indices are all luminescent, as are the hands, for immediate readability even underwater and in the dark. The bezel insert is steel, not aluminum: it resists scratches, doesn’t fade, and ages with the case rather than before the case. The dual glossy and brushed finish makes it legible in all lighting conditions. From the exhibition case back one can observe the Japanese automatic movement at work, with the Norton-custom rotor winding with every wrist movement.
