A Norwegian Rococo silver vinaigrette, gilt interior, bird finial on hinged lid, curved body, chased throughout with flowers and rocailles, gilded balm hide, hinged base engraved 'RMS 1787'. Maker Christian Madsen, licensed in Arendal 1735-1786 and resident of Kolbjørnsvik. Weight 29 g. H. 6.5 cm.
