NYX - Titre The Weight of Porcelain – Le poids du silence

--- History of the Work --- A woman is seated, her body leaning forward, her face almost entirely surrendered to shadow. Her hands rest on her leg as if, for a moment, she has decided to stop struggling. Around her, white dominates. Yet this visual silence is pierced by a deep blue that appears on her skin, her clothing, and even in the fragments scattered at her feet. The figure seems to have been shaped from a material located halfway between the human body and porcelain. The Weight of Porcelain – The weight of silence evokes that particular moment when one still externally bears the traces of what one has endured, even as an inner process of reconstruction begins. The posture of the character is deliberately ambiguous. It can suggest fatigue, loneliness, or contemplation. But she is not depicted as lying down or defeated: she remains seated, present, almost suspended between two movements. The blue fragments scattered on the floor extend this idea. They can be seen as pieces of something that has just broken, but also as the elements from which something new can be rebuilt. The contrast between the nearly immaculate white, cobalt blue, and the dark areas of the silhouette directly echoes the PorcelainMuse universe and its work around Asian porcelain, fragility, and transformation. A contemplative work about that quiet moment when fragility ceases to be a weakness and becomes the first step toward reconstruction. --- Technique and Creation Process --- This work originates from an original digital painting, notably worked with Photoshop and Krita. Artistic creation relies on digital work of composition, color, textures, light, and details to gradually build the character and its universe. Once the creation is finalized, an artificial intelligence tool may intervene only in a technical phase to improve image definition, notably to increase resolution and reduce pixellation before transferring to the physical support. Artificial intelligence is also used as a writing assistant to structure and develop the detailed description accompanying the presentation of the work in this submission. The final work is produced as an artistic print on canvas, mounted on a wooden frame and ready to be exhibited. --- Technical Characteristics --- Title: The Weight of Porcelain – Le poids du silence Artistic universe: PorcelainMuse Year: 2026 Creation technique: Digital painting – Photoshop / Krita Support: Artistic print on canvas Dimensions: 90 × 60 × 2 cm Format: Square Mounting: Canvas mounted on a wooden frame Edition: Limited edition of 25 copies Signature: Signature integrated into the work Certificate: Edition/authenticity certificate transmitted by email on request State: New Presentation: Ready to hang Shipping: Protective packaging suitable for transporting the work Digital Print Use of AI: technical improvement of definition/resolution to reduce pixellation and assistance in drafting the detailed description of the submission. --- About PorcelainMuse --- PorcelainMuse was born from a fascination with the fragile beauty of Asian porcelain and the stories objects can tell as they pass through time. Cobalt blue, porcelain white, floral motifs, feminine figures, warriors, Asian landscapes, and fractures inspired by Kintsugi gradually form the visual language of the collection. In this universe, porcelain goes beyond decorative function. It becomes a metaphor for the human being: precious but fragile, liable to fissure, yet capable of preserving its beauty despite the traces of time. Each creation thus seeks to establish a dialogue between the aesthetic heritage of Chinese porcelain and a contemporary artistic writing. Traditional motifs are reinterpretated in current compositions where characters, flowers, materials, and symbols tell a new story. Behind every PorcelainMuse face lie universal themes: memory, femininity, strength, transmission, fragility, and reconstruction. PorcelainMuse’s ambition is to create works that one does not choose solely for their aesthetics, but for the emotion and the story they evoke. --- Commitment to the Collector --- Each work receives special attention before shipment and is carefully prepared to ensure its protection during transport. Collector satisfaction is a fundamental commitment of PorcelainMuse. Any question about the work, its edition, its certificate, or its receipt is followed up with care. This creation belongs to a limited edition of only 25 copies, to preserve the confidential nature of the collection. --- Keywords --- PorcelainMuse, Porcelain Warrior, The Silent Bloom, Asian warrior, woman samurai, katana, Chinese porcelain, blue and white porcelain, Chinese porcelain, cobalt blue, female portrait, Asian woman, Asian art, contemporary Asian art, digital painting, contemporary art, floral portrait, porcelain art, limited edition, édition limitée
