Unlike modern plastic binoculars, this model impresses with its extremely durable, traditional materials: Case: sturdy, lightweight aluminum die-cast with a grippy black Bakelite/leatherette coating. Optics: high-quality, ground optical glass from Jena with the characteristic blue-violet magnesium fluoride coating for clear, glare-reducing viewing. Details: original eyecups made of the characteristic hard Bakelite. Precise brass threads inside the central focus mechanism. Condition of the offered glass: Optics: The transmission is [completely clear / slightly hazy]. The lenses have [no scratches / fine cleaning scratches]. Inside there is [no glass mold / minimal haze] to be seen. Mechanics: The focus wheel and the diopter adjustment run [smoothly and with no play / somewhat stiff].
