Ochre - Suzanne Williams

Ochre by Suzanne Williams Painting 39.4 x 39.4 :: In this piece I aimed to capture the light returning during a late summer rain shower. The deep golden glow across the corn fields below is a striking palette. The painting is slightly textured and catches the light making the colours burst and glow. My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy to dramatic and surreal. The ochre gold tones are developed by layering and lifting the oil paint to find previous hues and tones laid beneath building depth movement and highlights. :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Contemporary Subject: Landscape Width: 39.4 Height: 39.4 Depth: 4 Weight: 3 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
