Oil lamp - Antique electric miners' lamp – Belgium

Authentic antique miners' lamp, presumably from Belgian mining in the Liège region. The lamp is made of metal and glass and features a sturdy metal suspension hook. The light chamber is protected by vertical metal bars and a glass cylinder. The cylindrical underside served as a battery or energy holder. On the front is the number 514. This is the miners' number, by which the lamp was linked to a specific miner at issue and registration. The lamp has a fine, well-worn industrial look with a beautiful patina of age and clear signs of use. Condition: authentic used state with scratches, discolorations, oxidation and other age- and use-related traces suitable for the age. Note: in the base there is a small hole, as visible in the photos. Operation is not known and the lamp has not been tested. Offered in its current state.
