Olot School - Sculpture - Infant Jesus of Los Remedios...

Beautiful and expressive image of the Child Jesus of the Remedios, a delicate piece of traditional Spanish religious statuary, possibly made in the mid-20th century. It stands out especially for the sweetness and serenity of its face, its striking crystal eyes, and the carefully modeled features, which give it a notable artistic and devotional presence. The figure features a wooden cross and a brass radiance, elements that enrich its composition and accentuate its religious character. Apparently made in polychrome plaster, with a hollow structure, it preserves an attractive traditional aesthetics and a expression of great beauty. Height: 33 cm, from the base to the head. Weight: 933 grams. It is in good overall condition, with no noticeable breaks in the figure and with small signs typical of use and the passage of time. The brass radiance has been fixed with adhesive to ensure its proper placement. An interesting piece for collectors of religious imagery, representations of the Niño Jesús, and Spanish devotional art. It will be carefully packed to protect its most delicate elements during transport.
