The set consists of 3 vintage OMAS fountain pens from the Slim / Pinstripe (thousand lines) series. 1. Set Details and ModelsThe lot comprises three finish variants of the same ultrathin cylindrical model (slim) produced by the historic Bologna-based brand OMAS: Pen 1 (Argentata/Cromata): Glossy metal finish / silvered with vertical guilloché lines (pinstripe). Pen 2 (Laminata in Oro): Entirely gold-plated / laminated finish with a finely lined guilloché texture. Pen 3 (Bicolore): Metal body/cap with shiny silver finish and a black resin grip and gold-plated clip/details. Distinctive features visible in the photos: Engraving of the OMAS logo on the flat top of the cap (cap head). Nib in gold- or silver-plated stainless steel integrated into the writing section profile, bearing the engraved logo "OMAS". Cartridge / standard-size converter filling. 2. Production PeriodEra: 1970s – 1980s.Context: During this period, many writing houses (such as OMAS, Aurora, and Parker) launched slim and elegant lines to appeal to the era’s taste, characterized by thin, pocketable writing instruments with a minimalist geometric design. 3. MaterialsBody and Cap: Metal construction with millerighe guilloché work. Surface treatments in gold-plated / laminated metal for the gold version and chrome-plated or silver finish for the lighter versions. Grip: Synthetic resin / knurled metal depending on the model. Nibs: Stainless steel (gold-toned or silver-finished).
