Brand: Omega Model: Constellation Reference Number: CD 168 0057 Serial Number: 35519802 Movement: Automatic, Caliber 1021 Dial: Champagne with vertical brushed finish Case Size: 35 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Gold-tone, stainless steel caseback Production Year: 1972 Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: -7-9s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The dial is an exceptionally clean and well-preserved champagne canvas featuring a striking vertical brushed finish. It is detailed with applied gold-tone indices containing black inserts, which pair perfectly with the matching stick hands. The hands feature a clean finish with no visible oxidation or corrosion. Applied Omega logo and text add depth to the dial, while a clean day-date window frame neatly displays the English day wheel. There is no significant spotting, staining, or damage visible, leaving the dial in pristine visual standing. Case and Crystal The 35 mm C-shape case profile displays a brushed finish on the top surfaces that transitions nicely to polished bevels. The gold-tone case flanks show moderate scratches and handling marks, representing honest wear consistent with age while retaining good overall geometry. A gold-tone fluted bezel frames the dial, its edges remaining relatively defined with normal signs of wear. The stainless steel caseback is highlighted by a solid gold observatory medallion in good condition. The signed Omega crown displays significant plating loss and wear visible on its outer face and fluting. A flat acrylic crystal provides clear visibility of the dial, showing some light surface scratches visible under certain lighting angles. Movement Powering the watch is the automatic chronometer-certified Omega Caliber 1021. The movement displays the copper-toned finishing typical of Omega calibers from this era and bears engravings noting twenty-three jewels, adjusted to five positions and temperature. It maintains a clean overall appearance with no obvious corrosion, though some light marks and wear are visible on the rotor surface. The timegrapher records a rate of -7-9s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. The strap shows light wear and serves as an attractive contrasting option in good wearable condition. Condition Good vintage condition. The watch displays honest wear consistent with its 1972 production. The case flanks show moderate scratches and handling marks, and the signed crown exhibits significant plating loss on its outer face. The fluted bezel shows normal wear, and the acrylic crystal carries light surface scratches. Conversely, the champagne dial and handset remain exceptionally well-preserved and clean. Timegrapher results reflect strong mechanical health and reliable performance. Dimensions The case measures 35 mm in diameter, excluding the crown. Remarks This Constellation delivers a pristine vertically brushed dial housed within a highly regarded C-shape case.
