Applied gold-tone indices with black inserts provide excellent contrast, complemented by a neatly framed day-date window at the 3 o'clock position displaying English text. The dial surface remains very clean with minimal signs of aging. The gold-tone baton hands retain their original appearance, also featuring black inserts, while the luminous material has darkened naturally over time. Minor surface oxidation is visible on the hands under magnification. Case and Crystal The distinctive C-shape case is executed in gold-tone with brushed top surfaces and polished flanks, displaying honest wear consistent with its age. Moderate scratches and wear are visible along the edges and lugs. A gold-tone fluted bezel frames the dial, showing some softening of its fluted edges from handling over the decades. The watch retains a gold-tone knurled crown signed with the Omega logo. The domed acrylic crystal exhibits minor surface scratches visible at certain angles. Turning the watch over reveals a stainless steel caseback centered by the classic gold-tone observatory medallion. Movement Inside the case beats the Omega Caliber 751, an automatic movement featuring a copper-colored finish that presents a clean appearance. The rotor shows minor surface marks. The movement is proudly engraved with its chronometer pedigree, noting it is adjusted to five positions and temperature, and features 24 jewels. The timegrapher recorded +7+10s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrast stitching. The strap shows light wear and pairs handsomely with the gold-tone case. Condition Good vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally well-preserved, showing minimal aging, while the hands display natural oxidation and darkened lume. The gold-tone case and fluted bezel present honest wear, with moderate scratches on the lugs and softened edges on the bezel. The crystal has minor surface scratches. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the chronometer-certified movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 34 mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This Constellation represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a sought-after C-shape design with a beautifully preserved brushed dial. The combination of the fluted bezel and the reliable Caliber 751 makes it a highly enjoyable daily wearer for any vintage enthusiast. History Introduced in the late 1960s, the C-shape Constellation marked a distinctive shift in Omega's design language, moving away from the traditional pie-pan dials toward a more integrated, barrel-like geometry. This circa 1970 example houses the esteemed Caliber 751, a chronometer-certified automatic movement. Known for its robust architecture, the Caliber 751 utilizes a swan neck micrometer regulator and a self-compensating flat balance spring, ensuring the high precision expected of the Constellation family.
