Omega - Jumbo - Bumper Automatic - Rose Gold plated - 2657 SC - Men - 1950-1959

Omega Automatic Bumper Ref. 2657 SC – Jumbo 36.5mm – Rose Gold Plated – Cal. 342 – 1950s Highly attractive vintage Omega Automatic reference 2657 SC from the 1950s, featuring an original white sunburst dial, elegant rose gold plated details and the desirable Omega calibre 342 automatic bumper movement. Measuring approximately 36.5mm, this example has unusually generous “Jumbo” proportions for a watch from this period, giving it excellent presence on the wrist. KEY DETAILS • Brand: Omega • Model: Automatic Bumper • Reference: 2657 SC • Additional case reference: 2494-5 • Period: 1950s • Diameter: Approx. 36.5mm • Case: Rose gold plated • Dial: Original white sunburst dial • Hour markers: Applied rose gold-coloured baton markers • Hands: Rose gold coloured dauphine style hands • Seconds: Subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock • Movement: Omega Calibre 342 automatic bumper • Crown: Original Omega signed crown • Strap: Brown leather strap • Accessories: Original vintage Omega presentation box with cushion • Condition: Nice vintage condition with age appropriate signs of wear The original white sunburst dial remains in very nice overall condition and is beautifully complemented by the warm rose gold coloured baton markers and matching hands. The subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock completes the classic 1950s appearance. At approximately 36.5mm in diameter, the case is notably large for a watch from this era. These generous Jumbo proportions make the watch particularly attractive and give it a more substantial presence on the wrist than many comparable vintage Omega models. The watch retains its original Omega signed crown and is powered by the desirable Omega calibre 342 automatic bumper movement. The movement is functioning as may reasonably be expected from a vintage mechanical watch of this age. The watch remains in nice overall vintage condition. As can be expected from a watch dating from the 1950s, there are scratches, small marks, dents and other signs of wear consistent with its age, including a more noticeable mark around the upper left lug. The condition and signs of wear are clearly visible in the photographs. The brand name is redone Somewhere in its lifetime. The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap and is accompanied by an original vintage Omega presentation box with cushion.
