Omega Seamaster Cosmic Ref. 135.016 – Original Tritium Dial (1960s) Highly attractive vintage Omega Seamaster Cosmic reference 135.016 from the 1960s, featuring a beautiful original matte light grey tritium dial with a subtle warm undertone. A characterful vintage Omega with particularly attractive aged tritium and classic hand wound construction. Key Details • Brand: Omega • Model: Seamaster Cosmic • Reference: 135.016 • Period: 1960s • Case: Stainless steel • Dial: Original matte light grey tritium dial with subtle warm undertone • Lume: Original aged tritium with warm golden/yellow patina • Hour markers: Applied markers with black accents at 12, 3, 6 and 9 • Movement: Manual winding • Crown: Original Omega signed crown • Strap: New black leather strap • Accessories: Vintage red presentation box • Condition: Nice vintage condition with age appropriate signs of wear The original dial is undoubtedly the highlight of this watch. Its matte light grey surface has a subtle warm undertone which can appear slightly different depending on the light. The crisp white Omega and Seamaster Cosmic lettering contrasts beautifully against the dial. The original tritium hour plots have developed an attractive warm golden/yellow patina over the decades. Together with the slightly aged luminous material in the white hands, this gives the watch a particularly charming and authentic vintage appearance. The applied hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock feature contrasting black accents, adding further character to the dial. The stainless steel case remains in nice overall condition for its age. As can be expected from a vintage watch of this period, the case shows scratches, small marks, spots and other signs of wear consistent with its age. These are visible in the photographs and form part of the watch’s vintage character. The watch retains its original Omega signed crown and is fitted with a new black leather strap. A vintage red presentation box is also included. The manual winding movement is functioning as may reasonably be expected from a vintage mechanical watch of this age. A beautiful and characterful vintage Omega Seamaster Cosmic, with its unusual matte light grey dial, warm undertone and naturally aged tritium forming the main highlights of this example.
