Presented for auction by Second Vintage This classic 1980s TV-dial Seamaster delivers a distinctive aesthetic anchored by its bold geometric case and integrated bracelet. The attractive vertically brushed silver dial and practical day-date complication make it a highly wearable and visually compelling example of late-century Omega design. Brand: Omega Model: Seamaster Reference Number: 166.0213 / 366.0845 Serial Number: 45425272 Movement: Automatic, caliber 1020, 17 jewels Dial: Silver with vertical brushed finish and day-date Case Size: 35 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless steel Production Year: 1982 Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: -30-32s/day, running strong and steady. Dial and Hands The silver dial features a striking vertical brushed finish that creates a well-preserved and highly legible display. Applied indices with black inserts provide excellent contrast, complemented by a practical day-date window at the 3 o'clock position displaying in English. The surface is exceptionally clean with no significant spotting or damage visible. The stick hands carry matching black inserts and luminous material, retaining an original appearance with only minor oxidation and aging visible under magnification. Case and Crystal The stainless steel TV-shaped case displays honest vintage wear with preserved original geometry, featuring brushed top surfaces and polished flanks. Moderate scratches and small dings are present, consistent with age and use. The integrated polished bezel rim surrounding the crystal shows surface scratches and light wear. A knurled crown signed with the Omega logo sits neatly at the side, while the caseback exterior clearly displays the Seamaster seahorse medallion. The flat crystal is clear, showing no major scratches, chips, or cracks. Movement Powering the watch is the Omega caliber 1020 automatic movement, featuring 17 jewels and copper-colored plates and bridges. The movement is engraved with its matching serial number. While the caliber maintains a generally clean appearance, there are significant deep scratches and gouges visible on the automatic rotor. Timegrapher: -30-32s/day. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed stainless steel integrated-style bracelet. The period-correct integrated design shows honest wear, with surface scratches and scuffs consistent with normal use. The clasp is signed with the Omega logo, and the bracelet accommodates a maximum wrist size of 17.5cm. Condition Good vintage condition. The stainless steel case and integrated bracelet display honest vintage wear, including moderate scratches, small dings, and surface scuffs, while retaining their original geometry. The vertically brushed silver dial is remarkably clean and well-preserved, and the hands show only light aging. The crystal remains clear. The movement is generally clean but exhibits significant deep scratches and gouges on the automatic rotor. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. Dimensions The case measures 35 mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This Seamaster offers a compelling snapshot of 1980s Omega styling. The distinctive TV-case geometry, the highly legible brushed dial, and the cohesive look of the original integrated bracelet make it a charming and highly practical vintage timepiece. History The Omega Seamaster line has long been a pillar of the brand catalog, adapting to the defining design languages of each decade. By the early 1980s, integrated bracelets and TV-shaped cases were prominent aesthetic choices, reflecting a shift toward bold, geometric profiles. The caliber 1020 provided a reliable automatic day-date function, making this configuration a very capable daily wearer for the era.
