Omega Seamaster Quartz – Stainless Steel Case – Swiss Quartz Movement – Black Dial – Date – 1970-1979 A distinctive vintage Omega Seamaster Quartz from the 1970s, combining the robust character of the legendary Seamaster collection with the technological innovation of early Swiss quartz watchmaking. The watch features an elegant black dial with applied silver-tone baton hour markers, gold-tone hands and a slender central seconds hand. Story & Heritage Omega introduced the Seamaster collection in 1948, creating what would become one of the longest-running and most recognizable families in Swiss watchmaking. Over the decades, the Seamaster evolved from elegant water-resistant watches into a broad collection encompassing professional diving instruments, sports watches and sophisticated everyday timepieces. The 1970s represented a particularly important chapter for Omega. As quartz technology transformed the watch industry, the manufacture invested heavily in electronic timekeeping and produced a fascinating generation of watches combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with the new precision of quartz movements. This Seamaster belongs to that transitional era. Its angular case, black dial and integrated 1970s aesthetic contrast with the advanced electronic movement inside, making it representative of a moment when Swiss watchmaking was redefining what a modern luxury watch could be. The engraved Seamaster hippocampus on the case back further connects the piece to one of Omega’s most enduring collections. A characterful vintage Omega for collectors interested in Seamaster history, early Swiss quartz technology and unmistakable 1970s design. Internal Reference Number - FLO-218
