On the Field Road - Gary Westall

On the Field Road by Gary Westall Painting 9.5 x 11.8 :: I painted this picture en plein air during the annual plein air event in K?opotowo Poland. I painted it on a field road behind the village where the vast landscape unfolds in all its quiet beauty. The tranquility of this place moved me—the narrow path the fields and the trees lining the roadside drew my gaze out into the open landscape. As I painted the light and clouds transformed the colors of the fields revealing nature in ever-changing shades. With this painting I wanted to capture the quiet harmony of that moment and invite viewers to mentally follow the path and experience the serenity of the rural landscape. Signed lower right.
