An elegant openwork ring in 18-carat yellow gold, adorned with a round brilliant-cut diamond set in a square frame and crossed by two lines forming a cross, typical of the style of the 1950s and 1960s. Inspired by tank rings, which were popular between 1935 and 1950, this piece reflects the Art Deco spirit and the postwar era: During World War II, gold and gemstones were scarce. It was common to melt down available gold to create chunky rings that were easy to carry, giving rise to this structured, geometric style. The name “tank” refers to the military vehicles of the period, explaining the ring’s imposing shape and clean lines. Metal: 18-carat yellow gold Stones: Diamonds Weight: 12.1 g Ring size: 56 Width: 16 mm Resizing: Yes
