Orange, Texas. $20 1929 Ty. 1. Fr. 1802-1. First NB. Charter #4118. PCGS Banknote Choice Uncirculated 64 PPQ. A "common" note in one regard by virtue of the issuing charter which records approximately 123 non-institutional notes in the National Bank Note Census. This T1 $20 issued by the First National Bank of orange (Charter# 4118) under the Series of 1929 is nonetheless an exception to the norm expressed by most of its fellow survivors. Tantalizingly close to a higher grade level and assigned a grade of Choice Uncirculated 64 PPQ by PCGS Banknote, it takes little to realize that this is perhaps the finest among a trove of high-grade survivors on this bank situated in East Texas and a veritable "keystone" bound to see much interest in the eyes of bidders before the hammer ultimately falls. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.
