Anatomy of a Cow is a Cubist-inspired work; the artist painted it as a homage to the rural world soon after moving to his studio-home in a town with no more than 300 inhabitants in Segovia (Spain). In a humorous tone, the painting plays with the decomposition of a cow’s body and reconstructs it afterwards in a recognizable way. The process consists of creating a pictorial composition from parts of a reference image, which are used like a collage, and then harmonizing and adjusting the composition so that it remains balanced. He has been exhibiting his work in public venues and national and international art fairs since 2014. His interests are broad; he conceives painting as a tool for re-connecting with oneself. His creative process has evolved over time; experimentation and the search for new paths, methods, and materials are the engine of his career. However, it can be said that the deconstruction of form and the dialogue with art history have been two pillars that have remained and around which he finds the freedom to create and to convey. This stance has led him along different paths throughout his life, trying various formulas and genres such as still life, the representation of personal objects, drawing and painting the human body, or symbolism and the narrative. His main wish is to develop a painting with a personal character that connects with him and where humor is almost always present.
