OTTOMAN SILVER RING WITH INSCRIBED OVAL STONE

Ca. AD 1700 - 1800 A silver ring set with an oval reddish-brown stone engraved with an inscription in Arabic script, its flowing characters arranged across the surface. A plain raised bezel encloses the stone, bordered by a silver surround. The broad shoulders are engraved with intersecting diagonal lines forming a lattice pattern.
