Ovide, Ronsard

Prestigious and rare homogeneous collection of 5 celebrated works of international literature and poetry, masterfully illustrated by the greatest artists of the 20th century. All volumes belong to the highly sought-after collection of luxury facsimile reprints published in Geneva by Edito-Service S.A. in the early 1970s, produced with the official authorization of Albert Skira. All volumes are strictly in their original "en feuilles" configuration (loose/unbound sheets), housed inside their soft folders and protected by the original publisher's slipcases. The works are printed on premium quality paper (Vergé des Papeteries de Bellerive / Casteljoux). This limited and numbered collection includes a total of 6 volumes: 1. Ovide - Les Métamorphoses (Illustrated by Pablo Picasso). Slipcase height: 30 cm. Copy N° 4415 A. 2. Ronsard - Florilège des Amours (Illustrated by Henri Matisse). Slipcase height: 30 cm. The external slipcases and folders show minor and normal signs of shelf wear, light foxing, and age-related toning (particularly on the spine of the Picasso volume, which has darkened naturally over time). No structural tears or missing parts. Overall very good vintage condition. Please closely inspect the extensive photo gallery for exact details. A splendid opportunity for bibliophiles and art collectors.
